Our Mission
Welcome to the Woman Development Foundation (WDF), a dedicated Section 8 not-for-profit organization on a mission to uplift women across Maharashtra. Our sole aim is to be a guiding light for women in need, offering them the support they deserve. At WDF, we’re passionate about fostering leadership skills among women in Maharashtra. Through our initiative, we collaborate with women’s organizations, community groups, faith-based communities, youth organizations, and other civil sector entities. We believe that by empowering these groups, we can enhance their ability to make a real difference in their communities.

At WDF, we believe that true progress is only possible when every individual, regardless of their background, is given the chance to lead a dignified life. Our initiatives are focused on uplifting women by equipping them with the necessary skills, education, and resources to become self-reliant and confident. We work tirelessly to provide support and care for underprivileged children, ensuring they receive education, nourishment, and a safe environment to dream big. Additionally, we extend our compassion to the elderly, honoring their wisdom and ensuring they live their golden years with respect and comfort.

Women have always been the backbone of families, communities, and societies. From caregivers to leaders, from entrepreneurs to warriors, women have shaped the world in countless ways. But, unfortunately, there are still numerous challenges that women face across the globe, including inequality, discrimination, and a lack of access to resources and opportunities. These challenges persist despite the many advancements we have made as a society. That’s where organizations like WDF come into play — fighting every day to change the narrative and ensure that women are given the equal rights, respect, and opportunities they deserve.
